The timbale moulds are part of the project Il Tempo della Festa designed by Mario Trimarchi with the advice of our consultant Alberto Gozzi. Ever since the end of the 1500s the shapes of desserts, cake moulds and timbales have been evolving, often imitating or reproducing forms found in architecture and nature. Mario Trimarchi, with this series of six Timbales for sweet and savory preparations, kitchen accessories, carries on this tradition by adapting them in size to a domestic holiday scale, and in their variety of forms to suggest the idea of various contents used as modules for composing entire menus. the timbales’ articulated forms implicitly suggest the use of multi-coloured mixtures, possibly arranged in layers, in order to accentuate the composition’s variety of volumes.
